White House adviser Kellyanne Conway said Thursday that Anderson Cooper’s now-viral eye roll at her during an interview this week was just another example of the media’s double-standard of “sexism” against conservative women.
“Hillary Clinton is in search of sexism as a lame excuse for why her disastrous candidacy and campaign lost six months ago,” Ms. Conway told “Fox & Friends.”
“I face sexism a lot of times when I show up for interviews like that,” she said. “Could you imagine rolling your eyes, having a male anchor on a network roll eyes at Hillary Clinton, at a female representative spokeswoman for President Obama or President Bill Clinton? I think not.”
The infamous eye roll happened Wednesday after Ms. Conway reminded Mr. Cooper with an eye wink that she was on his show “often” last fall saying how President Trump planned to win Michigan.
Mr. Cooper gave a very deliberate eye roll that became a viral .gif on social media.
“Anderson Cooper’s eyeroll is all of us right now,” CNN Money tweeted.
